ABOUT US

Ponies Unlimited, LLC was established by Theresa Francia and her daughter, Donna, in 2004. Since then, the business has grown from the purchase of one mare in 1991 to a successful horse show training and leasing program with occasional Thoroughbred breeding, racing, and sales.

ABOUT DONNA

Donna Owen has over 30 years of experience in showing, teaching, training, and breeding. She is USHJA certified and fully insured. She has successfully competed in high-level jumpers as a junior and hunters as a professional, with many awards as both a rider and a trainer. Her students competing at levels from leadline to amateur jumpers have won numerous awards at the Northeast Regional Championships each year and her students guided Go Go Gidget to Pony of the Year awards in 2005, Go Go Gidget also competed at the 2010 USEF Pony Finals in Lexington, KY and came home with a bronze medal in the team championship. The ponies under her training have earned numerous USEF Zone and National awards year after year. Donna also earned the 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 USEF Leading Pony Jumper Owner title. Her students range in age from 6 years old to adults well into their 60s. Pony jumpers are her specialty. Donna is now a well-known AMHA/AMHR miniature horse breeder. 

Donna started riding at the age of 8 and has worked with and trained with notable professionals such as George Morris, Nick Karazissis, trainer and equestrian author, Peg Cannell, and many others.  

  

ABOUT DEVON OWEN

Devon Owen, the daughter of Donna, is excited to share her new position as head trainer and rider at Ponies Unlimited, LLC. As well as the Owner of Ponies Unlimited North, LLC! Starting her riding journey at just 3 years old, Devon, now 21, has built an impressive resume, including being a 7-time USEF National Champion in both hunter and jumper divisions. Her accomplishments include winning the USEF Hunt Seat Pleasure National Champion title in 2015 and excelling in the Jumper division, where she secured numerous USEF National championships from 2017 to 2022. With her passion and talent, Devon has become a notable figure in the equestrian world, and she looks forward to her continued journey at Ponies Unlimited.
